Asyncronous vs. Syncronous Storyboard

Asyncronous vs. Syncronous Communication is the topic of my storyboard. Please feel free to comment on it's components so far.

The storyboard below with image clips can also be viewed at:

  1. Hi Denise,

The flow of your outline is a good general overview of asynchronous vs. synchronous communication. For the video clips, though, what is "sections ba-bd"?

  2. Hello, Denise!
I am looking forward to viewing your completed project. I have one concern about your storyboard. According to Dr. Moller, "In this module, we start with the story boards. I know the course says story boards or outline but do not do an outline A storyboard identifies the key concepts and includes words and visuals.

    2. i am posting a new rubric for the video to doc share, it will formally be in the course next semester but READ it before doing the storyboards" (Moller, 10/1/2010, Module 3 para. 4).
I have noticed you have only given a formal outline (which Dr. Moller said not to do) and you do not have the two column spread w/links to your visual content as outlined in the new rubric.

I understand your reference of sections ba-bd; however, I think some hotlinks to the material would make the storyboard more complete. Otherwise, I think you are right on target with the content. Let me know when you get your project together, I'd love to see it!

  3. April sections ba-bd stand for the flow of the outline. I will be working on making further changes to it this week. Thank you for your post. I will change those letters to bullets and write out exactly whhat was ment by sections ba-bd.

  5. Elane your post contains some information that needs further clarification. I in fact did follow the guideline as suggested by Dr. Moller. I will clarify the reasons why both my outline and your two stranded storyboard are acceptable.

I set all my assignments on my goggle calendar so that I can remember when they are due in the beginning of the course. I used module one's assignment post that stated: "Module 3, Week 5: Post an outline or storyboard of your video in your blog by Day 7. Share your work with your learning community for feedback and assistance." (Moller, 2010, Module 1 para. 6). This is what I had saved for my assignment in my cell phone as well.

I did review Dr. Moller's changes to the assignment. The revised rubric also states "Module 3, Week 5: Post an outline or storyboard of your video in your blog by Day 7. Share your work with your learning community for feedback and assistance.” (Moller, 2010,). This revised rubric was posted on September 2, 2010 and still is visible in doc share on 10/17/2010. To date it has not been changed as you stated in your initial post.

What you are referring to is Dr. Moller’s discussion post on October 1st 2010 regarding our storyboard. In other words it refers to our FINAL storyboard and not our blog posting. Our blog posting follows the same criteria as Dr. Moller stated in Module 1 and the rubric in doc share. In addition there is no reference to our blog in the statement that you are referring to.

Please feel free to take a second look at all of our colleges blog posts on their storyboard. Although each one is unique in format and contents they all add a special touch to their storyboard contribution.
